As an NPO, La Gratitude tries to keep our fees to just enough that they cover the basic operational costs. For this reason, we rely on fundraising in order to do bigger projects and maintenance around the school. We run small fundraisers each year, but the highlight of every year is our Amazing La Gratitude Duck Race. This fundraiser was devised in 2000 by the then Principal, Mrs Renée Meissner, and her husband Pete. Each year, you can sponsor a little plastic bath duck in the race. Your entry is allocated to a specific duck number, and should your allocated numbered duck win the race, you can win some amazing prizes. As the years have passed this event has grown significantly to where approximately 2000 ducks are sold each year for the race. We are so grateful to our past and present parents, and the Pinelands community for their support over the years. In 2020, the event was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID concerns, but in 2021 we were back! Feel free to contact the School to purchase your ducks for 2023!
